Hello, Folks, Thank You For Visiting That Should Be A Movie.
I’m C. W. Johnson, Jr., is an aspiring author, screenwriter, avid reader, and lover of all things history.
I hope this page will bring attention to forgotten people and historical events that deserve to be remembered with movies. As an aspiring screenwriter and filmmaker, I hope to connect with like-minded writers and filmmakers. I started my mission of pitching books as movies with a YouTube web series, That Should Be A Movie, and have branched out with this blog hoping to reach more people, as well as to engage in my favorite pastime, writing, with a variety of stories that should be told on the big screen.
Stories from the forgotten battles of World War II that deserve to be remembered (The Rapido, New Guinea).
The heroes of the Forgotten War, Korea, should be honored (Fox Company, George Company, The Pusan Perimeter).
Louisiana stories that would generate interest and tourism in my home state (The Wayfaring Stranger, Cane River, The Lost German Slave Girl).
Stories that promote peace today by reminding us that the Confederates 150 years ago were still human beings capable of goodness (Cleburne, Jim Limber, Stonewall Jackson).
Stories that honor and remember Native American history (Red Cloud, 38 Nooses).
Stories that honor those who serve (No Ordinary Heroes, Adam Brown).
Stories that motivate (The Saints winning Super Bowl XLIV, The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, Thunder Dog).
Stories that encourage the soul (Athanasius, William Cowper).
Stories that inspire and touch the heart (The Candy Bombers, An Invisible Thread, The SS Meredith Victory).
I hope you enjoy the stories and find them encouraging, thought-provoking, and inspiring. I also hope to see you at the movies when these books that should be movies are.
